Cardi B, never one to shy from a sartorial spectacle, unveiled a breathtakingly dramatic look at the Stephane Rolland Photocall during Paris Fashion Week on July 8, 2025, transforming the event into her own personal art installation.
Cardi B is single-handedly bringing the drama to Paris Fashion Week this year. Just one day after wearing a whimsical sculptural fringe dress complete with a (live!) crow accessory to Schiaparelli’s show followed by a sparkly red gown with giant roses erupting from the shoulders, the rapper donned yet another work of art in dress form. This time, it was for Stephane Rolland’s Haute-Couture FW25-26 show on July 8. And this dress was perhaps her most artful—and most confusing to the eye—so far.

A work of art. The gown featured a black skirt that turned her legs into a sort of trunk. A giant black sculptural hood sat around her hips and stretched up to her head. The white interior of the structured hood matched with the white tailored top half of the gown, giving a bizarre optical illusion that Cardi B was perched within a sort of otherworldly pod.
Emerging from a pod? She wore her hair in a center-part, slicked back into a bun and kept her jewelry minimal, leaving all of the attention on her artistic dress. Cardi B is, of course, no stranger to a bold, eye-catching red carpet look—a look that pushes the boundaries of fashion to new limits. Over the years she has worn countless iconic looks that turned her into a living work of art. Who could forget her artistic sculptural pink and black gown at the 2019 Grammys? Or her ethereal, flowing royal blue dress at the 2023 Grammys? Then there was the time she rocked what was basically a lime green sleeping bag to the Guarav Gupta Fall/Winter 2023/2024 Show at Paris Fashion Week.
