Producer SKN commended Rashmika Mandanna at an event for her forthcoming film The Girlfriend, lauding her dedication to her craft.
There has been discussion over Deepika Padukone’s departure from two big movies: Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. Whether performers and film crew should have better working hours is the primary point of contention. Producer SKN commented during an event for Rashmika Mandanna’s next Telugu movie The Girlfriend, referring to Rashmika as the “only actor” free from these limitations.
Producer SKN commended Rashmika for not imposing rigid work schedules when he joined the stage. “At a time when there’s debate on how many hours one should work, there’s only one heroine in pan-India who’s willing to work however many hours needed,” he stated, clearly referring to Deepika’s reported request. “She sees work with love, not in terms of hours,” he continued. Her dedication is based on timing rather than rigid boundaries. Because of this, everyone considers Rashmika to be a member of the family. Rashmika couldn’t stop grinning and appeared overtaken by the compliments.
According to reports, Deepika requested an 8-hour work shift and left Spirit and Kalki in 2898 AD. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, she discussed this matter. “By virtue of being a woman, if that’s coming across as being pushy or whatever, then so be it,” she said in defense of her decision. She brought up the fact that many well-known male celebrities in the field have worked eight-hour shifts for years without receiving bad press. Deepika further pointed out that despite being referred to be such, the film industry is incredibly “disorganized” in many ways.
It’s going to be a busy year for Rashmika Mandanna. This year, she starred in the Telugu and Tamil films Kuberaa and the Hindi films Chhaava, Sikandar, and Thamma. The Girlfriend, which opens in theaters on November 7, will shortly feature her. Mysaa and Cocktail 2 are also planned for her.
