At the 2025 Rare Impact Fund Benefit, Selena Gomez displayed her lovely side. At the third annual event in Los Angeles, the 33-year-old American singer and actress looked effortless in a purple satin minidress.
The former Disney star started the Rare Impact Fund in 2020 to generate money and awareness for juvenile mental health around the world. She recently celebrated one month of marriage to music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. The event, which was hosted by American talk show presenter Jimmy Kimmel, raised almost $600,000, according to Vogue.

Selena got into trouble earlier this week for her “unnecessarily cruel” remarks. The celebrity faced criticism after claiming that her billion-dollar company doesn’t “use real models” in its advertising campaigns.
Many people took offense at the remarks, even though Selena was trying to convey a good message about how Rare Beauty emphasizes genuine, natural traits. Since the company’s September 2020 inception, hundreds of models have been used, so many believe Selena’s remarks ignore their skills and careers.

One Rare Beauty model was drawn to Selena’s sentiments and told The U.S. Sun in an exclusive interview. The model has been working with the brand since 2024, but she did not want to be named for fear of not being recruited for future advertisements.
The model said, “I was already having a bad day and was feeling really sensitive and emotional. I actually cried when I heard Selena’s comments.” “I was feeling anxious about some career stuff, and then I saw that video of her saying I’m not even a real model,” she went on.

“It hit me at the worst moment because I’m wondering, ‘What am I even doing?'” “To be told by the founder of the firm I look up to that I am not ‘genuine’ at my profession when I thought this would be a great break for me? It’s humiliating and demeaning. It was embarrassing how many friends and family members forwarded me that video subsequently.
