Carly Rae Jepsen will become a mother! Jepsen said she was expecting her first kid less than a month after marrying Cole M.G.N., a music producer.
The pop singer wrote, “Oh hi baby,” as the caption for an unexpected Instagram slideshow this afternoon that included black-and-white pictures of her holding her stomach while sitting on a bed at the Hotel Chelsea with her partner curled up behind her. The “Call Me Maybe” singer is wearing a floral pajama set in the pictures, which were taken by Vanessa Heins. The last few buttons on her shirt are undone, exposing her expanding baby belly. The soon-to-be father, meanwhile, is dressed in trousers and a dark T-shirt.
These photos might have actually been taken on the pair’s wedding weekend, given that their nuptials took place at the exact same hotel on October 4. In September of the previous year, Jepsen announced their engagement to the world, with an Instagram post that read: “Very engaged over here.”
While collaborating on Jepsen’s seventh studio album, The Loveliest Time, the two first got together in 2021. Jepsen even referred to the process of creating one of the songs, “So Right,” as their “meet-cute.” She expressed her excitement about collaborating with the producer on additional music to People. She said, “We’re going to travel somewhere, and we’ll bring a little acoustic guitar.” “This is our first kid in the world, but I think you’ll see a lot more of us working together on projects in the future.
