Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has articulated the persistent danger of drone strikes encountered by individuals residing near Ukraine’s frontline after her unannounced visit to the nation.
“A quiet hum may be heard in the skies. Drones are continuously being used to follow, hunt, and terrorize people in what has become known locally as a “human safari,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “There was a moment when we had to pause and wait while a drone flew overhead,” Jolie said on social media in addition to pictures of an underground clinic and the cleanup of debris, as well as a film of a wall dedicated to war victims.
Jolie emphasized that while serving as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, she wore protective gear. The US star visited the Kherson and Mykolaiv districts, where she spoke with families who lived close to the front lines, according to her post. For safety, many had moved their hospitals and schools to underground shelters.
Jolie remarked, “It was difficult but inspirational to watch.” In April 2022, Jolie traveled to Lviv near the Polish border while in Ukraine. From 2012 until 2022, she served as the UN’s special envoy on refugee matters.
