Alexandra Shipp, actress of “Barbie,” will play a mortuary assistant in the upcoming psychological horror movie “The Autopsy Of Albert Kemper.” The movie is presently being produced in Minnesota under the direction of writer-director David Benullo. Eric Stoltz and David Howard Thornton, who portrays Art the Clown in the “Terrifier” movies, are also included.
The plot of “The Autopsy of Albert Kemper” centers on Riley Shaw (played by Shipp), a mortuary attendant who must deal with a horrific night when the body of a well-known serial killer begins to exhibit symptoms of something enigmatic that transcends death. While Thornton portrays Albert Kemper, the title villain, Stoltz’s part is currently being kept a secret.
According to reports, the movie was inspired by the events that followed Jeffrey Dahmer’s death, when there were widespread rumors that the police had tied the serial killer’s body to the stretcher out of concern that he may “rise again.” Dana Guerin of Epic Level Entertainment, John Frank Rosenblum, Jim Strader, Mandy June Turpin, and Tracy Mercer are the producers of the movie.
Alexandra Shipp recently finished filming “Forbidden Fruits,” which also stars Victoria Pedretti, Lola Tung, and Lili Reinhart. Her most recent endeavors include the thriller “Violent Ends” with Billy Magnussen, which came out in October, and Brian Cox’s directorial debut “Glenrothan” starring Alan Cumming, which debuted at TIFF.
