Showing off her range, Cazzu revealed a new side of her artistic career this week with her debut as a film actress in Risa y la cabina del viento, the latest film by Argentine director Juan Cabral.
The “Mucha Data” singer attended the movie’s world premiere at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, where she shared details about the story and her role as Sara. Her character is a single mother infused with the same tenderness and devotion she brings to her real-life role as a mom to her young daughter, Inti.

At a press conference before the screening, Cazzu spoke about her experience on set. “For me, it was an incredible opportunity. I’m very proud that this is my first time being part of a project like this, and I’ll always treasure it. I’m grateful to Juan for giving me the chance,” the singer said.
The Argentine artist also explained why she chose to make her acting debut in this blend of drama and magical realism. “It wasn’t really something I had planned; you could say the film found me. Juan was looking for someone he saw in me, in some part of who I am, and even though I had no acting experience, it didn’t feel strange to me,” Cazzu shared about playing Sara.

She humbly acknowledged that her appearance in the film was a special participation. “They’re the professionals, I came in to make my small contribution, with a lot of respect above all,” she said. When asked how she would describe her first experience in front of the camera, she added simply, “Beautiful, it was a lovely experience.”
Director Juan Cabral had nothing but praise for her performance. “She was fantastic! Truly an actress in the making, she has all the poetry needed for the craft. We got along really well; she’s a great partner and absolutely impeccable,” he said in an interview shared on the film festival’s social media.
