At this week’s Snow Ball extravaganza in Beverly Hills, “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot received the Hollywood Icon Award from the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai.
Gal Gadot expressed gratitude to the medical staff, nurses, and caregivers at the hospital for saving her and her daughter Ori’s life. “My life took an unexpected turn last year. She said, “I started having the kind of headache that makes the world stop for three weeks when I was eight months pregnant, juggling family, work, and everything in between.”
“Before we even got back home, my phone rang, and my doctor said, ‘You need to come to the hospital right now,'” Gal Gadot continued, adding that her mother persuaded her to have an MRI in February 2024. It’s a severe matter. You have a huge clot in your brain. I was unable to comprehend anything after that. English was completely abandoned. Am I going to die? was all I could think about while my husband was talking to various doctors. Does it feel like this before you pass away? Will they be able to save me? Will the infant be alright?
Recalling that she was given a diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), Gadot described how her baby was born within the next three hours and that she then had surgery to remove the brain clot. “The next morning, while my husband held our tiny newborn, my incredible doctors performed the procedure that saved my life, and when I woke up, I realised that I had been given two gifts, one in my arms, Ori and one in my heart, a second chance,” she recalled.
The performer has already discussed her life-threatening experience. Gadot thought back on her trip in a lengthy Instagram post in December of last year.
