One month after Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner sued him for defamation for disclosing personal information about their family, rapper Ray J has responded.
The Love & Hip Hop star, whose true name is William Ray Norwood Jr., said that during their 2003 romance, he and Kim voluntarily recorded a sex tape. He claimed that when the ex-couple talked about releasing the tape in 2006, Kim, 45, “insisted that Kris be in charge of the release and commercial exploitation of the film.” According to Ray J’s lawsuit, “[Kim and Kris] spent two decades peddling the false story that the sex tape… was leaked against her will.”
He claimed that he “no longer wants to play along with their tall tale” since the mother and daughter are “furious.” Ray J stated in the court documents that Kris, Kim, and her ex-husband, Kanye West, “falsely accused him” of several offenses. The lawsuit, which was first obtained by TMZ, includes allegations that Ray J distributed revenge porn, sexually attacked Kim while she was asleep, and was accused of extortion.
He claimed to have started the legal process and that Kim, Kris, and their production business had reached a settlement. Ray J claimed that although Kim agreed to pay him $6 million (US) as part of the settlement, the deal prohibited the family’s Hulu series, The Kardashians, from making any more public reference to the sex tape.
According to the documents, Kim, Kris, Kanye, and Kendall Jenner all made remarks at one point that went beyond the terms of the agreement. Ray J asserted that the infraction entitled him to $1 million (US) in damages.

Kim and Kris sued Ray J on October 2nd over remarks he made earlier this year on the Tubi documentary series United States vs. Sean Combs. “I might believe it if you told me the Kardashians were being charged with racketeering,” he remarked at the time.
A few weeks later, he allegedly reiterated the charges in a livestream to millions of followers on September 24. “I’m going to go crazy with the federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim.” He cautioned, “The feds are coming.”
According to reports, Ray J said that the allegations will be “worse than Diddy,” alluding to Sean Combs’ current federal prosecution for sex trafficking and racketeering. The statements amount to Ray J’s “latest and most malicious defamatory conduct,” according to the lawsuit that Rolling Stone was able to receive.
Since his infamous sex tape with Kim appeared prior to the birth of their reality TV empire, the Kardashian family has accused him of waging a decades-long campaign of harassment.
