Shakira brought the fun and the romance with her latest look.
The Colombian singer dressed pretty in bubblegum pink to celebrate her new haircare line, Isima, in Los Angeles yesterday. Her ensemble was a festive, sunny take on the suit look, and was composed of a strapless top and high-waisted tailored trousers. The top featured a floral lace overlay that cascaded all the way down to the floor like a shower of flowers following Shakira as she walked.
Under the wide-leg pants peeked out icy-white platform heels. And the “Soltera” singer completed the look only with a silver bangle, rosy makeup, and her signature beach waves.
Shakira’s new hair products—designed with the many forms of Latina hair in mind—were displayed at the launch party. These include shampoos and conditioners as well as masks, a hair oil, a scalp serum, and more.
“I’ve been one of those women who come out of the beauty salon crying. I’ve been blonde, I’ve had red hair, and I’ve worn my hair straight. I had keratin treatments done. My hair has been through a lot of trauma,” Shakira told Harper’s Bazaar last month, speaking of why she decided to step into the hair space and launch her brand.
She explained: “That’s why I needed to start wearing it organically and be proud of my natural texture and create something that made it look not just better but bouncier, more lustrous, shinier, all of that. I think I’m finally accomplishing that.”
