Kim Novak has expressed concerns over her upcoming biopic starring Sydney Sweeney.

The iconic actress, 92, gave a rare interview with the Guardian in which she commented on “Scandalous!” — the upcoming film about the real-life romance between herself and Sammy Davis Jr. — and its bold title.

“I don’t think the relationship was scandalous,” Novak explained.

“He’s somebody I really cared about. We had so much in common, including that need to be accepted for who we are and what we do, rather than how we look.”

“But I’m concerned they’re going to make it all sexual reasons,” Novak added.Sweeney will play Novak opposite British actor David Jonsson, who will play the legendary entertainer.

Novak and Davis Jr. were romantically involved in 1957 but their relationship ended after Columbia Pictures boss Henry Cohn, who had Novak under contract, feared that their interracial relationship would be bad for business.

According to various reports, Cohn threatened Davis with mob violence.

Sweeney’s “Euphoria” co-star Colman Domingo is directing “Scandalous!” which has yet to begin filming.

Sweeney, 27, has already begun channeling Novak. At the 2025 Met Gala, she wore a sparkly black beaded floor-length Miu Miu gown with a gold brooch that was inspired by the “Vertigo” actress.

Sweeney has been at the center of controversy this year for her polarizing ad campaigns.

Sweeney told Vogue on the carpet that her look was an homage to the dress Novak wore in the 1967 film “The Legend of Lylah Clare.”

Sweeney has been at the center of controversy this year for her business ventures. The actress was criticized for selling her bath water, and her American Eagle denim campaign was slammed for allegedly promoting eugenics and “Nazi propaganda” by using a play on the words “genes” and “jeans.”

While Sweeney refused to discuss her American Eagle ad with the Wall Street Journal in her first interview since the scandal broke, she has hit back at those who had a problem with her selling soap infused with her bath water.

“It was mainly the girls making comments about it, which I thought was really interesting,” Sweeney told the outlet, before pointing out what she perceived to be a double standard. “They all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bath water.”
