Tyla is undoubtedly skilled at making an entrance. The singer of “Water” showed up at the Glamour UK Women of the Year event in an aquatic risqué ensemble that perfectly blended high fashion with aquamarine.

On October 30, the South African celebrity walked the London red carpet wearing a bolero jacket from George Trochopoulos’s autumn 2025 collection that was constructed entirely of mussel shells (someone call Sara Paxton). Ron Hartleben dressed her, and she wore the classic sea-themed jacket with nothing underneath—a look that has grown famous among our favorite actors and musicians.

A pair of strappy black sandals, gold link drop earrings, and a shredded black knit skirt by Trochopoulos completed the ensemble. She wore a smokey eye with iridescent silver on the inner corners to keep her beauty consistent with the siren feel.

Tyla is being honored as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year alongside Rachel Zegler and a slew of other notable women like Ms. Rachel, Demi Moore, and Munroe Bergdorf.

Tyla is known for throwing a look, and she loves to lean into cheekier styles. She’s bold and clearly likes to have fun with her fashion — something that’s also very apparent with her music.

“All I wanted was to enjoy myself. I wanted to party, I wanted to go out, and I wanted to say everything. In her Glamour cover story, she states, “I realized that people just like to talk—that’s just my life now.” “I just wanted to sing about it and turn it into something fun and pop, instead of doing the social media clapbacks that I’ve been doing.”

So this aquatic fashion moment on the Glamour red carpet is just another example of how Tyla is focused on being young, carefree, and having fun with fashion and her music.
